I’m Matthew Potts, a Music Composition (for Film/Theatre/Media) student at the London College of Music (LCM), in West London.
I’m a Composer/Conductor, Producer, Multi-instrumentalist, & DJ.
Originally from Shropshire, I’m an alumni of Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA), a well-known, selective performing arts academy in the West Midlands, linked with London’s ‘The BRIT School’, where I studied Music Technology and Production. Some of the many instruments I play include the violin, piano, clarinet & I also sing.
Most recently I have composed the soundtrack for a film called ‘Christina’, I have collaborated with Alton Towers and composed music for theme park attractions, and I have also conducted the Wolverhampton Symphony Orchestra.
I am now based in Canary Wharf, London, where I also offer violin and piano lessons to prospective students in the area and around London.
Christina is an official film soundtrack (OST) I created in collaboration with Birmingham Ormiston Academy film/broadcast students. The film’s genre is thriller/horror and its storyline is based on a vampire who murders people, but then falls in love with one of their victims.
The soundtrack uses traditional orchestral instruments as-well as electronic soundscapes and synths, providing a good contrast of sound which the directors where after. The whole soundtrack is available to listen to on my Youtube.
