about me

Matthew Potts is a composer for film, media and resorts, working on international projects.

Currently, Matthew is focusing on research into military music, examining how composers can create original works for military museums and heritage institutions. This work has led to a collaboration with the RAF Museum London, where he is composing an original soundtrack for a 24-minute Cold War documentary, integrating historical insight with contemporary composition.

Matthew’s composition portfolio spans film, orchestral, and themed entertainment work. He has composed original scores for several films including Rocks Under Tide (2025), What Comes Next (2025), Christina (2023), and Mission Binder (2023). His themed entertainment credits include immersive soundtrack work for Alton Towers and Zoological Park in Staffordshire, and has enjoyed residencies with different orchestras, including the Ealing Wind Orchestra (EWO).

Alongside his work in composition, Matthew is also a songwriter and music producer, creating both orchestral and electronic music across genres such as EDM, drum and bass, and hyperpop. He offers professional orchestration, arranging, and transcription services to clients.

He is currently based in London.

Recent Work

Christina is an original film soundtrack (OST) composed in collaboration with BOA Film, directed by Emily Ratcliff. The film, a rom-com thriller with horror elements, follows the story of a vampire who murders humans but ultimately falls in love with one of their victims.

The score combines traditional orchestral instrumentation with electronic soundscapes and synthesizers, creating a dynamic contrast that reflects the film’s tension and emotion — a sound palette specifically crafted to meet the director’s vision. The full soundtrack is available to listen to on my YouTube channel.
